What contradictions! L displays a more cheeky side in this piece while thumbing her nose at the art world (circa Last Thursday) and its incessant clamoring for MEANING in every piece. The enigmatic title throws the game wide open while bit by bit, L brings the viewer home to a jagged cut paper toilet riding a wave of what appears to be an empty ocean -- a fitting analogy for the mob of black turtlnecks searching for their next King to crucify. Even the pale, vacant sun at top right casts no light on these shadows. Brilliant.
