They create it, I interpret it. And don't you think for a second that I don't know exactly what the hell I'm talking about.

“Two Zacs” by L; Mixed media
There’s a lot going on in this piece. One might argue too much for a multi-media effort, which traditionally prove most striking when disparate elements unite for one stirring message. Not so, here. The simplistic human figures (are we nothing more than cotton swabs and pipe cleaners after all?) bemoan the fragility and lightness of the human experience. The chalked “road” at once suggests a true path (religion?) and demise, as the swab-humans splay like the remnants of a high-speed car wreck. This is an artist struggling with the structures and repetitiveness of pre-school yet fearful of the boundlessness of the imagination.
