"I Am The Brightest Star", by N, Decatur, GA. Photography

Artists are notoriously self-absorbed. Not necessarily vain, yet absolutely gripped by their place in the universe. And then along comes this blast of fresh southern air from rising star, N, out of Decatur, GA. Spare us the existential longing, forget the brooding, sorrowful searching. N knows exactly where he belongs – directly at the center of it all. In “I Am The Brightest Star,” N calls it like he sees it; he is the sun and center of our shared universe. All revolves around him. Is this simple narcissism or the next evolution in artistic POV? When reached for comment, N put it back into the only perspective that matters -- his: “Call it what you want, it don’t matter to me none.” Brash!
