"Pick Me Up" by S, Chicago, assorted colored papers in Starbucks cup
Chicago’s resident pop culturist and scathing intellect, S, has brewed up another delight. This time at the expense of your friendly neighborhood Starbucks – where a paltry $3.75 can get you ice, milk and coffee blended together! S doesn’t drink the jingo, dear viewers. The cup is not half empty, but filled to the brim with corporate greed, empty promises and enough sugary artificial happiness to make you feel, well, something. How American: a common staple tarted up and whored out like a happy pill. Make mine a Venti.
