"4 1/2 fish", by L; cut paper and goldfish on different paper

Absurdism is a dish best served cold. As in bluntly. Sadly, with L’s ill-conceived and shabbily executed “4 ½ fish”, the artist doesn’t fully commit to the intentioned absurdist nature of the piece, instead burdening it with cheeky visuals (lively three dimensional fish in a one dimensional executor) and awkward social commentary (did global warming keep this penguin from ingesting 5 fish?). A note to the artist: don’t play in other sandboxes unless you intend to build there.
