SCANDAL!!! Reader Submitted Work Too Close For Comfort?!?!

It's one thing to be a disciple of an artistic movement -- Renoir and Monet's styles weren't exactly oil and vinegar after all ROTFL! But when the details of a specific piece are lifted so blatantly, so callously, well, that is cause for alarm in the uber protective art world. So imagine my shock when I received this piece (above left) "created" by K, San Francisco, USA. On the right is a sketch by the surrealist Max Ernst. I leave it to you, viewer. The aggressive animal imagery, the dichotomy of crayon/charcoal stroke, the faded parchment backdrop? If imitation is indeed the sincerest form of flattery, Mssr. Ernst should be overjoyed. K, however, should take a long hard look in the mirror.
